School Meals

The Breakfast Club is available every week day morning. Children can enjoy a nutritional breakfast of diluting juice, cereal and milk or toast and prior to the start of the school day. The cost is 89p, or 39p for those children in receipt of free meals or clothing grant.  If a family has more than one child attending subsequent children are charged at 39p each. Children have the opportunity to socialise with their friends in a supervised and safe environment.

Our meals service provides school meals that are healthy, tasty and nutritious at a cost of £2.45. At present all pupils in P.1-3 do not pay for lunch as part of a Scottish Government initiative. Special diets for children with religious or medical requirements can be provided.  Please inform the head teacher if your child has special dietary requirements. A letter will be required from your child’s GP/consultant. Children who prefer to bring packed lunches are also accommodated in the dining hall.

Daily lunch menus can be viewed on the West Dunbartonshire website:

Children and young people of parents/carers receiving Income Support, income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Working Tax Credit, and Child Tax Credit only and income-related Employment and Support Allowance are entitled to a free midday meal. Further information and how to apply can be viewed on the West Dunbartonshire Council website:

We promote a healthy eating policy at all times.  Children are encouraged to bring healthy snacks for playtimes and to have fresh water in their water bottles daily. Milk is also provided each day.
